Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Reitzle became the Chairman of the Board of Linde plc in October 2018, in connection with the Business Combination between Praxair, Inc. and Linde AG. He is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Linde AG and former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Linde AG. In 2002, he joined the Executive Board of Linde AG and served as Chief Executive Officer from 2003 to 2014. Prof. Dr. Reitzle began his career at BMW where, in 1986, he was appointed a regular member of the Board of Management, responsible for research and development. In 1999, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Premier Automotive Group and Vice President of United States car manufacturer, Ford Motor Company. Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Reitzle is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Continental AG in Hanover, Germany, Medical Park AG in Amerang, Germany, and Willy Bogner GmbH & Co. KGaA in Munich, Germany. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Ivoclar Vivadent AG in Schaan, Principality of Liechtenstein, and a member of the Supervisory Board of Axel Springer SE in Berlin, Germany.
