Richard E. Thornburgh serves as Independent Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of the Company. Mr. Thornburgh is Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Credit Suisse Holdings (USA), Inc. He is also the former Vice Chairman of the Board of Credit Suisse Group A.G. and chaired its Risk Committee. Mr. Thornburgh held key positions throughout his career with Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), the investment banking arm of Credit Suisse Group A.G., including Executive Vice Chairman of CSFB from 2004 through 2005. He has also held key positions with Credit Suisse Group A.G., including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer and member of the Executive Board of Credit Suisse Group A.G. Mr. Thornburgh was the Lead Director of NewStar Financial, Inc. until its sale in December 2017. Mr. Thornburgh serves as the Chairman of the Board of Jackson Hewitt, a privately held company. He was previously Vice Chairman of Corsair Capital LLC, a private equity firm focused on investing in the global financial services industry, and continues to serve as a member of Corsair’s Private Equity Funds’ Investment Committee. He was previously a Director of Reynolds American Inc., National City Corporation and Dollar General Corporation. Mr. Thornburgh served on the executive committee for six years and as Chairman of the Securities Industry Association in 2004.
