He previously was President, CEO and a Director of Metropolitan National Bank (MNB) in Springfield serving from February 2001 until his retirement in March 2010. Prior to MNB, he worked at First Savings Bank (FSB) of Mt. Vernon, Missouri. He started at FSB in January 1975 and was employed there until December 31, 1997. He co-managed FSB and also served on the Board of Directors. FSB was converted to a publicly traded company in 1993 and subsequently was purchased by Union Planters Bank of Memphis, Tennessee in 1997. (Union Planters Bank was later merged into Regions Bank.) He also served on the community bank board of Union Planters after the merger until his employment at MNB. He has over thirty-five years of management experience at banking institutions.
